I took 2 Egg credit cards in 2000 and owe £8000. I have paid sporadically and have just received a letter from a collections company and need some advice about the Limitation Act which says unsecured credit cards can be written off.

Statute of Limitations states that if you have not acknowledge these debts after six years then they are not enforceable.

Sounds as though you have though. Each time you make a payment then the six years starts again.

Follow through
Make your dreams come true
Don't give up the fight
You will be alright
'Cause there's no one like you in the universe
