My housemate has missed two council tax payments which I have paid off. The bailiffs are charging me £480

Hi and welcome.

You can query these charges but whether you'll be succesful in getting them quashed or lowered I have no idea.

Follow through
Make your dreams come true
Don't give up the fight
You will be alright
'Cause there's no one like you in the universe

Hi Lauren

If the charges really have been paid off the bailiffs shouldn't be chasing you. You need to find out what was actually paid and who it was paid to, and what is still outstanding. You might find it a lot easier to speak to the Council than to the bailiffs.

Regards
