Can a CCJ be removed. It is against an old address. I didn't know about the CCJ as I had moved. Can I get legal representation? Please advise.

Hi Asha

Technically it is possible to have a CCJ set aside but you would have to show the Court you have good grounds for defending the claim.

Just having the CCJ go to an old address won't be enough. The Court will say you should have told the creditor you had moved.

You might be able to get some free advice under legal aid but that's very unlikely to stretch to representation in Court - unless you are prepared to pay of course.

Regards
