i have a debt of £2000. I WAS PAYING THE COURTS £60 PER MONTH OUT OF MY JOBSEEKERS ALLOWANCE BUT I MADE A MISTAKE ON MY STANDING ORDER NOW ITS BEEN PASSED ONTO THE BAILIFFS. WHO WANT £95 A WEEK. I ONLY RECIEVE £45 A WEEK. THE BAILIFFS HAVE SO FAR PUT £600 ON ALREADY. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO AS THE COURTS WONT TAKE THE DEBT BACK ON.

Hello Scott.ih and welcome to the forum.

Who are the baillifs collecting on behalf of?

If the are appointed by the court you can try and get the warrant suspended using form N245 from : www.hmcourts-service.gov.uk there's a fee to apply to have a warrant suspended. You may be able to get the fee waived or reduced if you're on a low income.

You can contact one of the experts on here for further advice.
