I would like some advise about getting a mortgage as I was declared bankrupt about 2 years ago.

Hi and welcome.

You are unlikely to be able to get a mortgage at the moment. The bankruptcy will show up on your credit file for a further four years so a lender probably won't touch you.

Follow through
Make your dreams come true
Don't give up the fight
You will be alright
'Cause there's no one like you in the universe

It can sometimes to be helpful for you to credit check yourself and make sure the information held by the agencies is accurate.

Any defaults should be registered no later than the day of your bankruptcy order. If any are registered after this date you can contact the lender asking them to update the information.

Default notices should also be marked as satisfied, settled or partially settled, if they are not you can request these updated.

But as Jan says your bankruptcy will show for another 4years.
