I am just so dam annoyed at Barclays!

I can see why they would want to close my savings accounts BUT WHY remove my online banking!? I don't have a cashpoint for miles! so I have to go to the branch which is a 20 min bus journey to get balances and take out money!

Grrrr the sooner the Co-Op get their act together the better. I have never owed Barclays or Co-op a penny - so Barclays!

SCREW YOU!!! :/

On a side note I rang our letting agent and told them - he was lovely! said he wouldn't even bother the landlord because we have no arrears and my word is good enough for them in regards to the rent :)

so sort of double karma hit )

I don't want to start another thread as I think it's a waste.. But I came right home after the clerk said the OR would contact me.. But the certificate tells me to go to them right after I get it.

So have I done wrong? It's 50 miles away in England so I can't just nip there on demand. Will they penalise me? I tried to call but couldn't get through it just rang out. It's an innocent mistake! :/

If the clerk told you the OR would call you, which is normal, then you are fine. They usually contact you within a couple of days.

Suprised at Barclays as they are known to be BR friendly.

The OR should call to arrange an appointment but I think it can all be done over the phone.

I've no idea why they would want to see debt collection letters when they should already have the details for your creditors.

Well the direct.gov website says they will want bank statement etc and other stuff.

I cant get any of it if i cant access my account.

regarding barclays I was told that all new customers with that account get no savings and no online banking :(

I'm sure someone else posted about Barclays stopping their online banking after bankruptcy.

The OR will request paperwork from you prior to your meeting, if you don't have anything then they can get it from your creditors, but don't bin anthing just yet, just put it all in a file until you are discharged.

I'm glad it went well at court.

I'm not surprised to hear about Barclays as I've heard about this before. I've no idea why they do this but you are in good hands with the Co-op.

When I went BR the letter I received from the court told me to contact the OR immediately, but I was told by the court to wait until the OR contacted me. I got the initial phone call the next day and they then confirmed the date for my telephone interview.

If you have a look at my blog there is an entry listing what paperwork the OR requested. If you haven't got everything or can't get it don't worry, the OR can request information from your creditors.

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side.
