Hi, i have struggled with debt for many years now and can see no way out except to declare bankruptcy. this site has been very helpful but i still am not 100% sure how it works. alot of my debt is to overdrafts/payday loans do these get paid off? and what about a credit card which is my debt and im an aditional cardholder but the account is in my partners name? i also owe money to a family member, should i declare this? thankyou

Hi,

The debt to your partner's credit card can't be included but you can list your partner as you owe her.

The other debts will be written off and that also includes the family debt.

I advise you chat it all through with an expert.

HI Jake,

It's really straight forward. I went bankrupt on Wednesday.
