Hi everyone,
Well my period of bankruptcy is now finally over, 3 years after declaring myself bankrupt. I did have to pay an IPA for the first 28 months, but after moving they were kind enough to suspend my payments because of the increase in my rent. For the last 8 months I didn't have to pay any IPA. The final IPA payment would have been due last month so I guess I am now finished with the whole bankruptcy process and it's just a question of waiting another 3 years until my credit file is well and truly clean.

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side. |

Thank you everyone for your kind words and especially to Melanie for all the great advice when I took my first hesitant steps 3 years ago. I don't think I would have had the courage to do it without all the invaluable advice I received from everybody.

Only too happy to have been available for you - hopefully your positive post and constant posting throughout the period will give others in similar positions the courage to take that step!
Myself and fellow experts can give advice on process etc, but it is posts from people going through the process that helps others
