I made an arrangement with a bailiff to pay £50 per month. I paid the first payment but missed the second one as I forgot. A bailiff has called me today saying that I would have to pay £280 straight away or he will be coming to my property and take my belongings. When I told him that I would not be there he said that he would bring a locksmith and I would have to pay an extra £135 as a default fee. I have paid the £135 default fee but feel like I was bullied into it and would like to know where I stand and if they are allowed to do this.

Has the bailiff already been in and done a walking possession? If not then he cannot break into your property without a warrant.

If he has done the walking possession then he can come back and take the belongings if you haven't paid.
