Hi Angela,
Usually when you have remortgaged, then yes, the OR will want to know what it was for.

Hi Angela, When was the most recent time that you released equity?

Hi Angela, The OR interview is nothing really to worry about. Its your first, but they've done loads, and I found mine very straight forward.
Your release of equity was over 5 years ago, so will be surprised if it even comes up in interview.
Its also not on your SOA.

Just to add, I had various property the date I went bankrupt, all with various mortgages, and the majority had at some stage or other been remortgaged at some stage or other with the purpose of aquiring further property.
I was never asked about remortgages.
I was aksed to provide current statements of all mortgages.
I was asked about how I disposed of funds from the sale of a property, within 5 years of the date of my BR.
Hope this helps, and if you read through most peoples testimonials, they will say that the OR interview was easier than expected.
I had no idea what to expect, as I had mine nearly straight after seeing the judge!
Let us know how you get on.

Hi there Angela
As Year 2029 has said, it would be very surprising if the OR was concerned about equity that was released from your property more than 5 years go. Transactions at undervalue and preferential payments are generally not considered to be relevant in bankruptcy if they happened more than 5 years ago. So even if you used the money from the remortgage for anything like that it would not be an issue now.
