Hi and welcome

If you have no joint debts or financial associations then it will not affect your partner at all.

Ascend may you find no resistance
Know that you made such a difference
All you leave behind will live to the end
The cycle of suffering goes on
But memories of you stay strong
Someday I too will fly and find you again

Hi Julie,
Whilst your bankruptcy doesn't impact directly on your partner and their house, ultimately their income will be taken into account that they pay half of all your joint bills or there abouts.

This would come into effect if you're subject to an IPA or IPO.

Have you taken the first step to taking advice from your local CAB yet?

As well as the CAB you can also speak to one of the experts that post on here - the advice is free.

How long have you loived with your partner?

Have you contributed to the mortgage, household bills, home improvements etc,

Is there equity in the property?
