Hi, I have just under 3 weeks till discharge and the OR looked into my bank statements as far back as 3 years and sent me a letter with some questions which i promptly replied to and have spoken to them since regarding creditors with no mention of statements. This was about 3 months into BR. So since i only have 3 weeks left will i hear from OR again or is that it once im discharged? Regards Anna

Hi Anna,

If this was 9 months ago, I would hope that the OR has nothing further to investigate, and once discharged that's it. But, if you are worried, give them a call.

Did you get an income payment agreement?
Are there any assets to deal with?

Hi Anna,
Sounds like you're lucky and no IPA.

I hopefully it'll stay that way for you :-)

Last IPA payment made on 28th June 2010 and I'm now looking forward to getting married in September 2012 - I'm proof that you can go BR and come out the other side.

Good luck from me as well Anna.

Ascend may you find no resistance
Know that you made such a difference
All you leave behind will live to the end
The cycle of suffering goes on
But memories of you stay strong
Someday I too will fly and find you again

Anna, out of interest, and obviously no need to answer if you don't want to.

Why did the OR feel they may want a BRU?

no it's fine, it was beacause part of my debt was due to gambling then i had split from my partner and found it hard to suport myself with bank charges etc spiralling out of control. I think the fact that i was so honest with OR and had counselling, that has helped me. Im just looking forward to a fresh start

I hope everything works out for you Anna - good luck for the future and let us know how you are getting on. We like to see how people are coping post BR - gives hope to those who are still going through it.

Ok Anna, that makes sense.

I'd never considered a BRU, and out of sheer curiosity wondered about your situation.

You'll be discharged before me, but not by much.
