I'm currently in an IVA ,, pay £250 and struggle to meet this , childcare gone up by £100 , IVA company said need a new meeting, we declined BR when we took IVA as was stressed about loosing our home, however change of circ, stances need a larger home , 2 kids in a 2 bed and a baby due also hubby works from home so really no space .. We now want to walk away from our home as £15k negative equity and declare BR but will still have £150 to pay the OR after increase in rent etc is this acceptable

Hi Carren,

Sorry to hear about your IVA. Speak to your IP and see if the shortfall from your home repossesion can be included in your IVA. It may not be able to, and so bankruptcy could be an option.

Don't worry too much about what surplus you have for an IPA, some people don't pay anything.

Speak to your IP to chat through your options and have everything explained to you.
