I am a window cleaner and had an IVA which failed about 3 years ago as I could not manage the payments. I used to have a bricklaying company which went into liquidatio0n in 2008 wehen all my customers went bust. No one has chased me for any of the debts from the failed IVA which was approx £400k. I was thinking should I go BR and just move on from all this or would I be better just to leave it. I have a window cleaning business and employ no one and have no credit but if I go BR would i lose my van and be totally stuffed. Not sure what to do.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

It is best not to ignore your debts as they will catch up with you sooner or later.

Your van might be ok as it is what helps you earn your money.

Have a word with one of the experts who post on here for some free advice. Their details can be found under the expert link on the left hand side of the page. Alternatively, visit CAB for free advice.

Hi Lee,

As Niobe has said, you really need to take advice from an expert and chat everything through.

You will be allowed a van for your job, depending on the value of your current one, you may be able to keep that, otherwise you may need to downsize.

Speak to an expert and see what your options are.
