hi all, i went Br in jan 2009, found a private landlord who didnt do any checks just wanted the rent on time, i lived in that house until dec 2012, due to a down turn in wages i decided to get a campervan which ive been happy in and im still in it!!! my question is if i went to my local council to see about renting a council flat would i stand any chance?? am i classed as homeless?? im considering this option now to give me time before winter comes, im happy to keep living in the van tbh its just a thought, any info would be great, thanks everyone, single male 34, self employed, no dependants, one son who i see 3 times a week (bit of info)!!!!

Hi,

I don't know what criteria you have to meet to get a council house.
It's based on a points system but I suggest you contact your local council as that is who you apply through. They will advise you.
