Hello,
I live in my son's house. There is no mortgage on it and he lives somewhere else. We don't have a rental agreement but I pay council tax and my utility bills. In case of bankruptcy: would I have a beneficial interest in the house?

Thanks

Hi Karen,

If you are lodging in a family member's home then no, it's not your asset.

Have you contributed financially to the property at all?
