Well the deed is done, i went BR last friday 6th sept, 10.20am, up until today i had heard nothing from the OR, then the postman brought me a nice big brown envelope with insolvency service of n.ireland printed in nice big letters on the front this morning. When i opened it, it was just a few pages to sign & send back, the examiner gave me his name & stated he would be dealing with my case, i ended up ringing him as the form stated i had to attend the insolvency office in belfast on receipt of this letter, well i nearly fell off my chair, i wasn't expecting that so soon!!!when i rang the guy said it was just a standard letter had been sent, that he hadn't really looked at my SOA but would this afternoon & usually the interview was done by phone though there's always a v small chance you can be asked to attend the office,he said if he needs me to send any other info to him he would write out & to ensure my signed pages are received in the office by 24th september. He seemed a v nice, calm person on the phone & when i said i was devastated having to go BR he said he understood.I don't know how i feel now, a strange feeling of calm came over me last friday when the BR was granted as though was that it?now though i'm not sleeping well, feel sick, headache etc, iv'e looOked at so much paperwork over the last few days i feel i really can't look at any more for a few days to give myself a break from it all, so i forced myself earlier to go for a walk, buy a couple of mags to relax with, have a nice hot bubble bath later & an early night, hopefully i'l feel a bit better tomorrow,my experience of being BR for 6 whole days may help others going through the same thing, ( though BR in N I might be different from rest of the UK ),gud luck though!!I read from other posters that going BR really wasn't as bad as they had feared & up to this point in mine i whole heartedly agree. |

Congratulations - sounds like it all went ok and good luck with the or interview.
Enjoy your bubble bath and you know where we are if you have any questions.

Fair play Holly and congrats.
I am 4 months the other side of discharge. I have a good job. I have 3 lines of small domestic credit and life is starting to build back up. I have my car back that my parents bought from the OR and things are good.
Looking back do I think it was one of the best things I have ever done? Yes I do. It's taught me a lot - rule number 1 to NEVER get in that state again - self inflicted or not (mine was not)
As Niobe says. Chill out now - it's over and the year will just fly by!
