Hi and welcome.

Which bank are you with now? Some banks are known for closing accounts for those of us unfortunate enough to be insolvent.

You can always use an account such as Secure Trust which, although it carries a monthly charge, is guaranteed to accept you.

Hi, as Niobe has said, as you're already bankrupt, you will need to open an account such as the one Niobe has mentioned. There are a few good ones, just google it.

Or get a Barclays Cashcard one which is free but does not have online banking, I had one with Barclays and they did this so I went to co-op. Once I was discharged barclays ha no record me me ever being a customer. I got a full cashcard account and 2 years later I am now on a mainstream current account thanks to getting a vanquis card and using/paying back small amounts each month.

I've got a big limit but I never use it - so don't be too down about it - it only takes a few years to get better

Barclays cashcard account does have online banking

You have to apply for this in a branch and not online.
