Hi,

I was made bankrupt at the beginning of last year which has now expired. I am a member of credit expert and my bankruptcy doesn't show on there and neither does it show if I search the insolvency register.

So, am I missing something or am I just the luckiest person ever??

Also on my credit report all my default account etc still show and with their balances and I would have thought they would show as settled if included with my bankruptcy which they were?

Any kind of advice or idea would be good.

Many thanks

Hi,

Your bankruptcy entry stays on the insolvency register for 15 months.

It stays on your credit file for 6 years.

Check Experian, CallCredit and Equifax for the entry.

You will need to write to the data controller for all your creditors asking them to mark the entries as satisfied and change the default date to the date you were made bankrupt.

Hi,

You can sign up to Noddle and also Clearscore at no cost.

As Viki says, get the creditors to remove those defaults.
