Hello,

I went bankrupt in Nov 07, but am looking into moving and working abroad in New Zealand - does anyone know if they have any rules about letting discharged Bankrupts emigrate?

I have been looking on the internet but have not found anything out!

Thanks

Hi 369,

I would sugegst contacting the NZ embassy who should be able to advise you further on the effectss of BR on a visa application.

It really depends upon the skills you have to offer to the NZ society to be honest. If you have a skillset where there is a shortage, this is unlikely to be a problem, but if your are going for a competitive post they will be far more choosy and then the fact that you have financial difficulties on your credit record may stand against you.

For an informal chat about any financial difficulties, or advice as to the options available, I can be contacted via my website - www.melaniegiles.com
