Could someone tell me if you need to make an appointment or just turn up at this court.

I had to make an appointment and I did so with the help of a very helpful man there (John HItchcock). I got an appointment very quickly.

Phone them and make an appointment with the bankrupcty clerk. They were friendly and helpful throughout.
