Hi all I have a contract phone with o2 and informedd them yesterday that i will be going Bk and what would the outcome be for me.
My bill date is the 24th of the month and so when we go BK i will owe them for 24th July but because i believe we are a month ahead that we would have paid that one and I wont be using the phone from the 24th (tom) as im about to go on payg so i dont end up with additional costs. O2 told me that the whole contract amount and any outstanding charges for ending of contract will go on the Bk and also they dont want the phone back , just as well as mine broke and I could not get to the shop and so its useless now and i had to buy a cheap one, anyhow back to the question.
If i dont use the phone from the next bill date i should have all these amounts added to the BK as they are listed on there and would be included, is that right.
o2 were very nice and just explained that they could not allow anyone to keep a contract once they had become BK and so the best they could offer would be payg anyhow.
Just checking that these unpaid amounts as in 25th july till 24th aug will be included and also that i have done right.
Thanks
Jo

Hi Jo,

Yes what they have told you is correct and you should stick the full amount of the contract down as a debt in you statement of affairs.

Hi

The OR will write to them anyway and invite them to prove the debt in the bankruptcy. What you put down is only a guide for them to compare what O2 claim.
