Hi i have just finished my SoA and wondered how will we get on with my Post Office Card Acc its where all my benefits go in and once we go BK then we are not meant to touch the accounts.
Will i still be able to use that money as its for basic living needs through the month.
Please advise
Thanks
JO

Hi Jo, emailed you earlier. I am going to empty our account before BR and put the figure down on the form where it states Assets 'cash'. Then show the OR that this money is for that months remaining living expenditure until next pay day. Dont know if thats the wrong thing to do. Although I am hoping we can keep our cashminder account anyway, and it would be better off empty for us to do this, i cant think where else we would get one, also we are due to receive tax credits and child benefit into that account just over a week after filing. speak soon RC x

Hi Rc, we are hoping to keep our cash minder account opened it end of june just sorted out all dd's and wages to go in to it, what a time it took to sort out. I had been with HSBC for 20 yrs with an overdraft, now nothing going in or out of there (overdraft at limit), keep getting calls from them wanting to know why the dd's had been cancelled also no income, what has it got to do with them where I pay my bills. HSBC have been horrible, the co-op are great, I just ring the local branch no call centre and speak to a local person, rang this morn as I needed to draw money out (more than card limit), explained to them when I got there the money was already ready for me to collect what a service!!

Take Care
Ann

I agree about co op completely. went in today with my passport etc to withdraw £1K BR fees, went to the counter and she said, "you don't need those, i will just ask you a security question" handed over the cash and off i went. I remember when i was with Barclays they wanted 24 hours telephone notice of such withdrawals. My husband Had been with barclays for nearly 30 years, but now he got no time for them when he realized they willing to throw money at you and put you deeper in. When we recognized that we were having problems Barclays accepted us for another secured loan, when I had got home and slept on it i realized it was no help whatsoever and would have actually added to our problems, so glad we said no.
