Hi Guys! We had our OR Interviews todays and all has gone well :) We have to pay £148 ipa which we feel is alot less than we expected to pay so all in all we are very happy! We will both be discharged in a year or probably less and we were allowed to either keep our property and have no money every month or hand it back to Northern Rock and be able to live better in the private rented house we have just moved into, so you can guess what we've decided?
Quite honestly, I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted from our shoulders and I would like to thank everyone for your support and help and advice, we couldnt have got through it without you:)
For all of you out there about to go through this with us - IT'S NOWHERE NEAR AS BAD AS YOU THINK! As long as you are upfront and honest with the OR they treat you like real human people and realise that as humans we do strive to improve our lifestyle and in doing so we do overstretch ourslves financially and sometimes do make mistakes or wrong choices in life, but they are not out to hang you for it, so PLEASE dont worry too much:)
Here's to a debt free fuure! CHEERS! xxx
Thanks for your Help,Helen x |

May I just intrude on this topic and ditto all of the points made by Helen above. My interview was today and it was nowhere near as bad as I had thought. I was pulling my hair out prior to the interview preparing my defences to each of my expenditure claims, trying to remember all the points I felt I needed to make etc.
My only advice is to try not to work yourself up into a state over it because it really is, in my experience, not that bad. The OR in my case was very very reasonable and also willing to explain things thoroughly so that they made clear sense to me.
I wish everyone the very best for their forthcoming interviews and I look forward to reading their postings when they are feeling as relieved as I am right now. |

Hi Mst, glad it went well for you too and I wish you all the best for your future, as I do all of you :) It takes a brave person to face their problems head on and take action to solve them so we all need a big pat on the back ! :)
Thanks for your Help,Helen x |
