I'm a single father with one dependant 4 year old. I need to rent a place for myself and my daughter but am struggling financially at the moment. We currently live at my parents house but the conditions aren't suitable for my daughter nor myself. I was planning to move out and rent a place. The problem is then I will have to declare bankruptcy. M brother works in finance, my sister is a lawyer and I've been dating a girl for a while and she is a trainee accountant. If I go bankrupt, will it affect their careers?
hi nicholas i am no expert but ithinkthat you going br would not have any effect on the careers of anybody but yourself,one of the experts willbe along shortly to answer more fully but i'm sure that is correct
Hi Nicholas, I agree with Eamonn that your BR should not affect the careers of your relatives or your girl Friend.
I'm a single father with a dependent 7 yr old son. Have you put yourself down on the council list? I know it might not be what you want but with a young dependent child you will be reasonably up the list. Also they may have to offer you a house rather than a flat. If you are the person receiving the child benefit then you will be higher up the list again. For me I am likely to go homeless before i can save enough deposit to rent.
