Hi just wondering if we get a BRU which i think is highly likely, and say we get 3 years, when will we get discharged. Is it after a year but subject to other conditions for the other 2. The reason i ask is cos my mum said that she would give me her car when we have been discharged, its only worth about £600 and she said that she would sign it over to me when i am discharged. So that means log book etc in my name. Can someone advise as she also said that so i dont lose my NCB with my ins that she will pay the policy and that i can use my details to insure it. Also sorry to change this but if you do get a BRU can you still get early discharge. Just wondering really. Any advice please JO

Hi Jo,
I'm not sure about the car thing, but yes, if you get a BRU, you still get discharged after 12 months, but the bankruptcy restrictions will continue to apply for the term of the BRU.
I'm sure an expert will come along and help you with the implications of a BRU and the car.
Take care,
