Hi just wondering what happens to your utility bills and direct debits that are going out of your account, if the OR makes you give up your bank account

Hi Vacs.

In My case Barclays who had frozen my current account have let me open a basic account, which although it doesn't provide a debit card allows me to have direct debits. Before this was set up I was having to pay cash into bank accounts for a month, tiresome and unreliable, I had my phone blocked when the payment disappeared for three weeks and although they put it back on as soon as I contacted them it happened another twice till they found the money.

Hi vacs
I would keep your own account if you can as the statements will easily show your personal transactions which are harder for the OR to identify from a joint account.
