Hi, I am currently 3 months into a renewed 18 month mobile phone contract with Vodafone which I cannot cancel. If Vodafone find out that I have become bankrupt will they disconnect me? I understand the OR will tell anyone I pay money to, even though I have only ever missed one payment to Vodafone, and that wasn't my fault.

I'm not too worried as I am paying over the odds for the contract and my partner has said he will get me a cheaper mobile in his name, but I just want to be prepared.

Where there's life there's hope!

If mobile is work related, you can keep it as your company is paying the bill. Do not list a company mobile. If it's your mobile the OR may allow you to keep it depending on the amount of the monthly bill. The cost must be reasonable say, £15-25 or something along those lines.

Take care.

All I have left is my sense of humour.

I could have a problem here - my mobile bill is £35 to £40 per month, and Vodafone won't let me change the tariff for 6 months, and if I try to disconnect early I'll have a nice big bill! Oh well, I'm sure the OR has come across this problem before!

Yes s/he has skippy. Do not fret over a mobile contract. The OR will do what is necessary and fair.

Good luck!
