Dear ll

Myself and my wife are in the processof filling our BR forms.Menawhile we are starting to look at rented accomodation as we have a large negative equity and a secured loan in our house and we wnat o give the house back.

Currently our mortgage and secured loan amounts to 2300 per month and we are sure OR will say this is far too much as we ca rent for cheaper.

We are looking at rented accomodation in the region of 1200-1400 per month.Between myself and my wife we take home 4500 per month (3000 me and 1500 my wife). Will this beacceoptable by the OR or will they say this amount of rent is too high? We are looking to move to Kent or SE3 area as it be commutable to our work place. We also looking at 3-4 bedroom houses will they object as we currently leave in 3 bedroom houses and going to 4 bedroom sounds cheeky.

Any advise will beappreciated. Also in SoA forms they ask for average monthly income, is ththly income or an average of three or four months.

Thanks in advance

Hi
as you are looking to reduce your expenditure by £900 to £1200 per month I do not think the fact that you are looking at some 4 bedroom properties will be a problem for the OR.

Also the OR will be aware that in most London postcodes the rental costs are quite high.

You should enter an average monthly salary for the last 3 months immediately before you go to court.
