Its now day 5 and I havent done anything.
Should I be contacting people?
The bank, Sky, T-Mobile, Creditors, British gas etc ????????

Snowed under with study at the moment and ink gone on printer, so should I call these people or wait for OR to write to me with further instruction?
Help me please!
I'm scared

Hi TD

the choice is yours really but I remember the day I went BR I sat and called every creditor listed, gave them my BR number and the full details of the OR's office.
I never heard any more.

If you would rather not the OR will notify all creditors in due course and usually quite swiftly.
How swiftly depends on work load.

Don't be scared TD, the hard bit is making the decision. I know like many your concern is with the OR but they really are not the ogres that you envisage. They may consider one or two of your innocent actions as minor misconduct but no more than that and a BRU is of little concern to most of us.

It's easy to say I know but you have a family and a very responsible job that both need your undivided attention. Try and concentrate on those things I am sure you'll be fine.

Oh John, you are soooooo lovely. Thankyou.

I have been kicking myself because if only I'd paid egg for 3 months it would have only cost me £33 total! What a stinker, but then that would be preferential treatment......I think he will understand when I tell him.

Fingers crossed, now back to my really boring study which I am rather behind on. Yawn!

Hi John and TD,

I did the same, i got back from the court and called every creditor and gave them the details and most accepted it over the phone and that was that.
I have the very occasional letter from them but thats about it. It gave me great pleasure to inform the creditors and helped to ease the worry and confusion that i had been going through.

Hi TD
there is no need to contact the utility suppliers.
I'm sure it's fine anyway but ring Sky so that you can get confirmation that they will allow the contract to continue. It will put your mind at ease.

T-Mobile....who knows, I don't know if they'll be ok or not so you might want to wait and see what happens if and when the OR contacts them.

As for the bank, I'm not sure why you would call except to see if they will unfreeze your account and allow it to continue.
If that's what you mean go for it...but be prepared.

Hi TD

Do you feel like things are starting to calm down a bit now. I know what its like, its a case of have to do it but when its done it really is a case of having no control.
Your like me i like to know what im doing and when we went BR all that went out of the window and i felt hopeless, almost like my right arm had been removed. I had always done the bills etc and now all of a sudden it was all gone.
Now im happy but dont get me wrong i still get upset and worried also as i know its now out of my hands.
Keep your chin up, you will get through this. :)

Hi Jo,
Yes things are calming down, probably more to do with my course that starts on wed though as it needs my 100% attention, so I've decided to get on and study and leave the creditors calls.
Hows you? Nearly a month in. Any news on the car yet? Or IPA? Did they give you a time frame?

Hi TD

No news on any of it yet. I would like to know if we can keep the car as its only worth £1100 and still heard nothing. :(
I know, where has the month gone, all being well only 11 to go and hopefully we will get the discharge, yippeeee but im not holding mt breath, as for an IPA i had to send down my OH wage slip on Friday as there was a loss of about 200 plus per month and that will make a big difference to the I&E amounts, although i realised after i went BR that i did not add it up correctly and the amounts said £2600 out when if i had added the extras up correctly then it would have been 2752 i think it was so still waiting to hear now.
I hope that yur course gos ok, you need something else to focus on, we all do.
I did not get a time frame either, she mentioned that seeing as the wages would be different then it may be that they will wait for 3 months wage slips before they do anything so if thats right we wont know till end of Nov or early dec to what if any we will pay, but i think thats about right for their paperwork etc as it says somewhere that it can take upto 12 weeks to get stuff in place.
I hope the sun is shinning for you today, as it is here.
You know you have many friends on here and whether your feeling happy or sad just come on here and we will try and make it right.
Take care TD.
Keep smiling :)

Hi Jo,

As long as you can demonstrate a need for the car, as it's under the £2500 threshold, you should be fine.

Hi Jo,

If you've heard nothing, it is reasonable to assume you'll be keeping the car.

Oh that would be good Julian as like you have said i have heard nothing. When we had the interview she said she had to look into it, also mentioned something about BI in the car.
We wrote to explain that we needed it for the appts and interviews and for myself to go back to work i would need it as i would not be able to work without it as i would have to do nights. No transport that time of night and i would have to travel as we live in a small town apprx 2500 people if that.
So hopefully if your right we might be ok as like you have pointed out surely they would want to get things sorted asap.

Keep Smiling
Jo :)
