Well,
I had to do it, the guilt set in and i called the OR and asked about my number plate.
She asked what it was and how much i thought it was worth, i said not more than £250, after telling her it is my NAME she said to make her an offer, so i suggested £50 as i could get another one on the DVLA website for £250 and she agreed. My mum is to send a chq down with a letter saying that she is buying it and that will be that. Yipeeeeee.
Mum also said that I could get it put on her car then and it can be reused if i want too. I dont know about that but the offer was there.
Also had the I&E sorted, no exact figures yet but she said she did not take into account CB or DLA and so we wont have an IPA to pay only the Tax from the tax code.
Also one more thing hubby gets to keep his car she has made it exempt.
Im so chuffed.

Keep Smiling
Jo :)

Thanks Julian,

I just could not sit and twiddle my thumbs anymore so like i said i called them. Im glad i did though at least i know where i stand a bit more now.
She let me have £150 for gas and electric, no contingency or xmas gifts etc but did say she upped the clothing to £174 i think it was. I dont have all the figures but she said that is no IPA at present.
That is such a relief. PHEW!!!!!!! I need a large Vodka and orange now. Hee hee hee

Keep Smiling

Hi Jo - that's really good news.
I have just received an I&E form to complete for an early discharge so that's my good news for the day too!

Take care

Excellent Vicki,
It was april that u went BR is that right. Oh that would be so great, an early xmas present for you.
Hopefully they might sort ours out early enough to get an early discharge, but if not i have 11 months left as of today.
Thanks

Keep Smiling
Jo :)

Hi Jo - yes it was April 18th so not quite five months! They must know I am 40 soon and feel sorry for me!
If I can get an early discharge 6 months after going BR I will be so delighted.
We have just been contacting the credit ref agencies to "disassociate" me from my husband in a bid to try to improve his credit rating.
This time last year I was drowning in debt and after two years struggling in an IVA life felt pointless.
Now I can begin to plan a future without debt and more importantly without credit!
I haven't been involved in the forum for a while but everytime I look at it I can see someone who is going through the same heartache I went through and just want to help......think you know what I mean!
Take care

Hi Vicki,

I was discharged after 7 months, so by the sound of it, you've every chance of being discharged by Christmas.
