I was made bankrupt on the 15th August but I am still getting hassle from one creditor in particular.. I only owe them £750!!!

They have called me 7 times so far, from 7am to 9pm on a Sunday evening! Each time I have given them my bankruptcy reference number. What else can I do?

I explained that the details have been published in both the London Gazette and the local newspaper and that all my details are in there... they weren't even aware that it gets published and said it wasn't their job to trawl through the newspapers!

Hi Maizie

Thats is really weird as today again i have had more letters from one of my creditors and like you i owe about the £750 mark.

I called them again today and this time i told them that they are hassling me and in breach of the Section 40 act. I explained this to the woman and i was put through to the BR dept again, this lady went on the insolvency site and found me, she then apologised and said it wont happen again.

So lets just wait and see, oh the company is Littlewoods.

Maizie,

I hope you get it sorted, i rang capital one about ours on the day we went BR and they were happy to accept the information and we have had nothing since.

i would ring them and ask to speak to a manager.
i bet what has happened is the people you have been speaking to have to physically close files which they cannot be bothered to do!!!

It's BR + 1 month now, and Lloyds keep writing to me, saying how disappointed they are that I've not returned their calls/made any token payments.

It's got to the point now that I just shred their letter as soon as it arrives.

No im only messing too, i know how you feel, you call a number get through to someone who knows little english and does not understand an already tricky situation.

They get my goat too. I sent letters only for no one to get them.

They really do make my blood boil some of these companies, where is customer satisfaction, there code of conduct etc etc.

Im glad now that they are within reason out of my life, oh and my phone bill will be cheaper from now on. Hee hee!
