Hi all.
I have just sold my car for a reasonable £4000.
My partner & I have another car only worth about £800 and we work in different towns. At the moment i have to take my partner to work first then pick them up after which is a much longer trip and uses more fuel.
Would it be acceptable to buy another Cheap car (say £800) for my partner to use for work?
We will both be going bankrupt soon & the rest of the money is being used for rental deposits & BR fees.

Any help would be much appriciated
Thanks

Hi

to use the funds from the sale of the car for those purposes is fine.

Hi

Make sure you are able to account for the money you spend from the sale of the car, and keep documentary evidence where possible.

thanks for the replys guys

one more question (for now)
We have a bank account with barclays but our secured loan is with them. Should we start using the halifax account as we will be stopping the loan payments next month even though we have a £200 overdraft with the halifax?
Would this be classed as paying off a creditor, or is it ok as we need to use one of the accounts to pay rent & bills ect?
Hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance

Hi
you should definately start to use the halifax account.
The £200 O/D would not be an issue in the scheme of things.
