Hi CD85

if you are not on the mortgage - and haven't been previously - then the house is safe,

The official receiver doesn't visit after Br unles they are suspicious that you are hiding assets - i,e, you are an antiques dealer and have out down that you have £300 of assets.

hope this puts your mind at rest

Hi CD, I was in exactly the same situation as you - worrying that my parents & I would be made homeless, men in vans would be hammering on the door demanding entry and having to justify ownership of the property forthwith. It really is nothing like that, as Paul says, just be honest with the powers that be and you'll be fine. You definately did the right thing by coming here, we've all been there before and we're all here to help. Cheers, T.

Hi CD85,

Paul is absolutely spot on here. The OR can only claim assets that are in your name.
