Hi all,

I've now had my BR Order through the post and at the bottom there's a paragraph entitled 'Important notice to Bankrupt'

It says, 'The Official Receiver attached to the Court is by virtue of this Order receiver and manager of the bankrupt's estate. You are required to attend upon the Official Receiver of the Court at (address) immediately after you have received this order.'

What does this mean? Do we need to do anything or is it basically just saying we have to do as the OR says now that we're BR?

Thanks!!

Hi Bankruptc

That is what we had the day of our hearing, i think you will find that it does not matter it is a pretty standard letter.

I could be wrong, but when we given ours we were at the court and waited for the call from the OR's office and we were told that it did not matter as the OR would be in contact soon.

Hi Jo,

I thought so. It's just that we didn't receive ours till a few days after BR so I wondered if we had to do anything now. I persume not, but just wanted to double-check.

Thanks,

No i think its just for your file now, as you have been told when you have your interview etc so i would put it with your SoA and keep it safe.

Have a great day. :-)

Hi again Jo.

No, we haven't heard when our interview will be. When we spoke to the lady from the OR's office she just said we'dhear fromthem within 14 days, but no mention of interview at all. It's 7 days tomorrow so I hope we hear from them sooner rather than later. I'd at least like to know when the interview's going to be!

Thanks again,

C. x
