Hi Paddyuk,

That unfortunately would be at their discretion.

Hi Paddy

I would have thought they would ask for a larger deposit or the old bill paid in full as a security measure.

Give them a call and see what they say.

The bill cannot be paid if this is included in your bankruptcy. This is preferential treatment so do not do this!
As Julian says it is at their discretion.
If not there are other telephone companies that you can use.

Hi Zoe

I did not mean to inform paddy to make a payment to them just meaning that generally under normal circumstances and not a BR person that is what they would normally do, hence to give them a call and find out.

Sorry Paddy if i may have made it sound like you should pay them i was thinking as a whole. :-)

Hi,
My mum has moved to Sky Talk about 6 months ago and she no longer pays any BT bills as sky has taken over the line completely. Maybe its worth giving them a ring.

Jo,
Do you have to let utilities know about BR even if you have never missed a payment with them. I pay by D/D and have no priorty creditors just cards and loans.

Dont want to really tell them unless i have to.

Hi i did not tell them.

I did ask about generally speaking to them what i would do if i was to go BR and they said that as long as the DDs and bills are paid they are not interested.

That was mine anyhow.

Good luck
