i would just like to thank everyone on this forum for all the help and support over the last few weeks. i would not have been able to go through this without it because i would not have had a clue;
as from 09:55 this morning i am bankrupt
and boy was i a mess this morning, up at 4 am and physically a nervous wreck..but i am a born worrier, my mum used to say i would worry about having nothing to worry about.
my appointment was for 09:30, i arrived at the court and saw the bankruptcy clerk who checked all my paperwork and said it was all in order (remember all the posts i put on here again thank you everyone) i then paid her my fee and she told me that of the judges sitting today some see people and talk thro the bankruptcy and others just stamp the paperwork without seeing you.
she then took my paperwork rang the court usher gave me my paperwork in a folder and told me to go to the next floor and ask for the usher. i do not know how i got up them stairs my legs were like jelly.
i went to the waiting room for the court, there were about 8 people in..no one with a folder like me so i dont know if anyone else was there for bankruptcy they all seemed to have solicitors with them. the usher asked my name took my folder and asked me to have a seat..she then took the name of a couple more people. disapeared for about 10 mins gave me the folder back said everything was in order and would i go back downstairs to see the lady who was the bankruptcy clerk..DONE. no judge to see.
i took the folder to the clerk she rung the OR office and gave me the phone..they asked my name, add, occupation. asked about bank accs, said they had no problem with me keeping my basic account and they would write to the bank..took details of the mortgage company, reg and details of the car and then said i would receive a phone call sometime next week regarding my interview and that was it.
Everyone was lovely, i know there is still the interview to have but thats another day and i will take it as it comes.
WHEN PEOPLE SAY IT IS NOT AS BAD AS YOU THINK I WISH I HAD LISTENED, IT REALLY WASN'T...........SO FOR ANY ONE ELSE WITH DATE COMING UP.
BELIEVE ME IT REALLY IS NOT THAT BAD AND GOOD LUCK.
a weight was lifted off my shoulders today, and thank god a lesson learned...i will never spend what i don't have again.

Hi , am really pleased all went ok for you . I have taken heart from yours and everyone elses posts for the last month and hope mine and the wifes goes as smoothly as yours has . We are in tomorrow 10.15 .

Thats good news soscared, im glad that bit is out of the way now, you can relax tonight with a nice drink or something.

Thats great news for you - you must feel a little 'lighter' now
Hopefully ill have that feeling on 13 october, but for now try and relax until your or interview.
