I have recently gone into a rented house which is great. I wont go into to much detail, but I am currently in the process of starting an IVA and it is looking like Bankruptcy may be better. My question is that I am very worried that my tenancy agency and landlord will find out if I go Bankrupt. If they do, do you know if they normally found out and/or I will be told told to leave? I am a new tenant and do not want too much problem. Thank you.

Hi Micheal D and welcome to you

I would say that in this current market that we are all sruggling in that landlords can afford to be choosy and just kick you out, as long as you pay your rent i would not see it as a problem.
But, i would contact your agency and ask generally but obviously anonymously and see what they say, also look on your agreement and see if they have anything in writing.
Most agencies write things in about it, but if asked most landlords are not that bothered as long as they get there money once a month.
Hope that helps.
Try speaking to our helpline about your options with regards to IVA or BR, the number is free and it may also help to clear up some other worries you have, the number is 0800 078 9367

Best of luck to you
