Hello I am french living in UK for the last 6 years, i have about 120,000 pound debt on my House, And it worth about 110,000 today, I have a CCJ for 880,000 Pounds for personal garanties i gave beginning of the years. I wish to be made bankrupt and return in france. Do you think the bankruptcy can access to my bank account i am gone open in france

From what i just read you have so major debt unless there was a typing error. Anyhow i am not sure what you should do, you could give our helpline a call on 0800 078 9367 if not hang on in there and someone who does know will be along soon.

Bonjour,
I think it sounds like a good idea to go BR in the UK, wait for your OR interview, then travel to France. You will need to say what your centre of main interests is on the form and then update the OR of any new address and, yes, you would need to update them with your French address when you go there. I don't really know if you should put down the French bank account and you need to get advice on that. The level of debt you have cetainly sounds like Br is a good option as, if you went to France and left the debts someone might make you Br in your absence and the file would remain open until you returned. |
