After reading the IVA site and seein that they have the Frugal Friends on their i was wondering if it was possible to start one on here.
It would be good to get others together and to meet up if they wanted to like they do on the IVA site.
If that is at all possible that would be great as i for one would be more than happy to meet up with those nearby to share the experiences of my BR and to be a friend when we all need one.
Also maybe we could call it
BR Friends

Why don't you start it on the 'BR buddies' board? I'm 'up north'so i'm not near alot of you, but I reckon the BR buddies would be a good place to start threads about meet ups etc?
I know on the IVA site they have like a map system that allows others to look on there and see where others are, but i would not know the first thing about going about getting something like that in place for others to join and meet up.
Maybe admin can help us out as i think seeing as this site has now taken off that we need something like that too!

Great ideas Needafriend and BankruptC - do keep giving feedback about how you would like to see this forum go forward everyone as we are working right now to put lots more features on this forum !
Just to add, i've mentioned before that a 'private messaging' function would be fab to have. Sometimes members would like to give some extra information relevant to their case but are understandably reluctant to do so on an open internet forum.
I think it really would help people and would cut the number of 'please pass on my email' requests as we could do it ourselves!
Brilliant idea, I would be up for that, I live down South, but I think the private messaging board would be great as I realise that I get carried away sometimes and end up hijacking other people's!! Sorry to everyone I have done that to.
hi i would be upfor meeting/private message board as i agree with bankruptc that sometime's there may be thing's you don't want the whole world to know but may be important to someone trying to advise in a particular situation
Hi Folks. Thanks for the great feedback. We placed the map on the IVA forum chiefly so that members could contact other members (.. and act as a private messaging service !) After posting on the map it gives the member the option of listing forum buddies so that emails can be securely exchanged ... I'm delighted to say its working very well, and is something we are looking to possibly include on this site
