Hi Folks

I had my interview at the OR office on 4th November and everything seemed to go very well. The person who interviewed me was a nice guy and very reasonable. I always thought the interviewer would be stoney faced and quite firm, but he was nothing like that and was smiling throughout the interview. I am glad I had a face to face interview because I think it makes it easier to answer the questions when seeing someone's face, and getting a better idea with who you are dealing with.

Throughout my bankruptcy process I had the help of Paul Johns of Reviva UK, and I do not know how I would have got through it without his help. I would recommend him to anyone thinking of going bankrupt and requiring any advice.

It looks like I should be able to keep my car and buy any BI in the house. So just waiting to hear from the OR again, but now I can see some light at the end of the tunnel.

This forum as been a great help during worrying times and i will continue to read it and post. I would hope to be able to give advice to the best of my ability for anyone who is thinking of going bankrupt in the future.

All the best

Congratulations to you Debtrider.

The OR interview I think is the one part of BR that terrifies everyone so it is good to get it over with.

Here's to your new debt free future!

Thanks for all you comments.

It feels a bit strange now I'm actually using my own money instead of credit, and I feel much better for it.

Just watched a programme on BBC2 Credit Crash Britain Money for nothing. The people in this programme seemed to be doing exactly the same as I did in using credit to pay of credit.

I fully agreed with the man on this programme who said that 70% of the blame must be his own, but 30% with the banks who made credit too easily available to him.

I am now looking to a brighter future, but at the moment it feels a bit strange in not have to rely on credit to survive. What a relief.

Hi Debtrider

I do know where your coming from with using our own money now and not relying on credit cards etc to live. It is kinda weird but nice also as the money is ours and not something we have to pay back on the never never.

I must admit though its a new way of life and a better one too.

Enjoy your new life you deserve it :-)
