Hi Jo,
What does it mean when a topic is locked? I answered a post a couple of times and was interested in the outcome. It was concerning new laws about credit cards for businesses. I hope i havent offended anyone but i did think the poster was dissmissive of the advice given. As you know i would never intentionally upset anyone and only tried to help.

well tracy you didn't upset me but i think it shows that the site has responsibly thrown out chinese wispers and concentrated on giving plain simple good advise to an awfull lot of people who need it

Hi you 2,
A topic is locked when it is no longer relevent for example, or it could have offended people.
I have searched like skippy did for the info on that credit card law and as of yet have found nothing.
I did feel that it may have worried some people and thats why i asked the poster to give us more info on where it is via a link maybe or have a little bit more knowledge to offer the readers.
As of yet nothing has been noted.
Lets wait and see.

Hi i have just found it and unlocked it for now, but i hope that antp can help us out with this new law as i for one was a little worried on that and consider that we need more info as not to scare our members. :-)
Oh and Tracy, you did not offend anyone, hun, dont worry about it.

Hi Jo,
Thanks mate, i was really worried that i upset people!
i was worried as well that people would get panicky about the credit card thing and thought it should be looked into and the facts posted. everyone on here is going through or has gone through a really tough time and need only facts not scare monger stories.

I do think as i have just said that it does need looking into, you asked about the locked topic bit it can also be when a post has had its day so to speak. They get locked for all sorts of reasons so dont panic.
