 i am going bankrupt at the moment

i am going bankrupt at the moment which is an absolute nightmare. my other worry is that my estranged wife owns her own property. could they make her sell it for my debts? she doesnt know im going bankrupt and if she lost her home, then my life wont be worth living. can someone out there please help. kind regards, george.

Hi there

we probably need some more information regarding the house but in general:-

1. if you are not on the mortgage - and have not been on the mortgage - then it is not forefit in Br

2. unless you have made significant contributions to the household over a long tome then the OR is unlikely to be able to pursue any interest in the house
