Hi, briefly I was made bankrupt by the inland revenue in 1998 for the sum of £42,000. A local accountant was appointed my "trustee in bankruptcy". I was discharged from bankruptcy in December 2001. Since 1998 the trustee has taken from me my pension(lump sum and subsequent payments)and my house. I estimate that to date I have paid back in excess £110,000 and obviously that figure is still rising. I did instruct my solicitor to apply for an annulment some two years ago but have heard nothing since. I therefore have decided to take the matter into my own hands and have registered a complaint against the trustee with the Institute of Chartered Accountants. They have written back to me saying I should take the matter up with the trustee direct but i have been doing this for years and it''s like talking to a wall. I would appreciate any advice you could give me, I do intend to see this through to arbitration and Ombudsman if needs be, thank you, Dave Gumbrell |

Hi Dave & Welcome
Im not 100% sure on how to deal with this as i have not come across it before, but if you can get to a phone, give our helpline a call and leave a name and a number and someone will get back to you who will know what you may be able to do.
That number is 0800 078 9367.
Best of luck
Jo x

As I mentioned in my previous post, they are only there for their fees, seems like they are using you as a cashpoint card. |
