Hi everyone

Sorry to keep on going on about my car valuation, but I am so frustrated about the valuation the OR's agent as put on my car.

I have just updated the value of my car on the internet and this is what it as come up with.

Parkers Guide

Private good £2690
Private poor £2120

Glass's guide

Trade in - excellent £2271
Trade in - average £2050
Trade in - below average £1831

Now I would like to ask the OR's agent how they have put a value of £2750 on my car. What guide have they used?

Will the OR's agent except the figues I present to them or can they put any figure they like on my car, like it seems they have done.

I honestly thought that I would not have a problem with my car valuation, but it seems they are trying to get £750 out of me. I would not paying this if my car was valued at the correct price, but it seems the OR's agent is trying it on.

I will potentially be in exactly the same position as you when I declare after Christmas, plus I have downgraded my car specifically!

I really recommend you speak to Paul from Reviva, and even consider having him deal with it on your behalf?. That will certainly be my next step if things become difficult.

I also could have potentially ended up in a nasty situation as I initially spoke to the Insolvency helpline and they informed me I would be fine if my car was worth any less than £3000....... Thank God I found this site!

Hello Robin55

I am already getting the help of Paul from Reviva who also helped me through my bankruptcy. I saying this it is always good to get the views of other people on this forum. You never know someone might have had the same experience.

Yes you're right. I'm really routing for you though and would love to be updated on how you're getting on. Its invaluable hearing from people going through similar experiences.

Good Luck!!
