I have been pestered with calls from the Banks which I have an overdraft with,
I was getting fed up with same questions everytime and going round in circles with them,
So now when they call I ask them what the call is about, They will not tell me until I have passed security checks,
So what I do now is insist that they tell me what they want first, which they won't of course, So there is no point in talking,
Then end the call, they normally don't call back for a few days, then we start again.
I have told them what is happening but they don't want to know.
At least after the BR goes to court, I will be left alone.
Hope this makes sense

I gave false numbers when my ones called. So anything is worth a try.

Hello Leakie

Sorry to hear that you are pestered by calls.

I use BT and I use 1571 and I put the calls on answer phone immediately it rings so the phone did not ring at all. Then I set up an alert on my mobile phone to pick up the missed call or message on my BT line. Hope this does not sound too complicated. I had to do this otherwise I would have been inundated with so many calls from creditors. The only thing I was worried about was my mother, she could ring out on the BT Line but could not receive calls. This was no big deal as she does not get any calls, but I may have wanted to to contact her in an emergency. So I bought my mom a pay as you go mobile just in case I needed to contact her.

I know calls from creditors can be a real pain when you stop paying them, so I would suggest putting your phone on silent and using only mobile phones. You can get a couple of pay as you go mobiles really cheap.

Do not give your mobile phone number out to creditors otherwise they will start calling you on this number as well.

These call centre agents I just doing the job they are asked to do, and do not consider the stress and Inconvenience caused to the debtor no matter what the circumstances. They just want the money you have borrowed.

When you have gone bankrupt and the OR notifies the creditors of your circumstances the calls will stop, mine have now and have I put the BT phone back to normal ring.
