Hi!

Me and my bloke have got into serious debt, our house has negative equity, we contacted cccs and the way forward is bankruptcy, the forms look daunting, would you suggest we get help to complete them? were from? do we both need to attend court with the petition? many thanks we are both a bit overwhelmed

Hi Jan

The forms can be filled in online and they are relatively simple. If you do them online then when a question comes up that your not sure of we can help you.

You can get say CAB to help, but they are really busy and to be honest i did not find them v helpful at all, you can give our helpline a call anytime too and they may be able to help with the forms.

That number is 0800 078 9367.

The link for online form filling is:

https://www.insolvencydirect.gov.uk/isolv/

Register, then do the esy bits like your name etc and then gradually fill in the other details, you can save and go back when you want and you wont lose what you have put, make sure that your 100% sure of all the info before you finish and submit and then print off.

Best of luck

Jo

Hi Jan

The credit card debts are unsecured so that should be fine.

Dont worry about the forms too much, they are pretty easy to go through.

When are you hoping to go bankrupt.
