with regard to the tax being taken from your pay to pay your creditors does it came from your employer of is it debited after your pay hits your bank?

Hi Andrew

No its left in your pay once your code takes affect, then you have to keep the agreed amount to one side to pay to the collecting agents once they tell you how to pay it.

So once it has changed your wages will go up, but dont spend it as it has to go to the ORs collecting solicitors.

i was just reading this thread regarding income tax,when myself and my partner were made bankrupt her tax code changed to 0 nobody asked for that tax this was nearly 3yrs ago can we expexct the or/trustee to come knocking for this,secondly i was self employed the tax rebate pre bankruptcy was taken from me,now a always worked selfemployed with overheads i.e company vechile plus company expensise like fuel insurance policys,is it right that they can take every penny of me as i pay tax at 20p in the pound?,i was paying full tax troughout the bankruptcy were my partner was not is this correct? many thanks for any advise
