I am moving into Rented, as yet have no idea what my expenditure will be each month, I am on benefits so income will be about £800.00, should I wait until I know what my expenditure will be before going bankrupt or do I just do it and sort out the expenditure bit afterwards. My ex OH used to pay all utilities etc and I have no assets, upon the advice of CAB I havn't paid Debt Collection Companies for 2 months so have defaulted our informal arrangement and I am starting to get letters about them sending people around. Don't know which way to go with this one.

Merry Christmas to all and a better 2009

Hi Karen

I would move into rental and not inform creditors so once there no letters.

Complete your forms and pay particular attention to sections 6&7 (income & expenditure).

Once in rental and I&E as it should be then job done. As long as you have the court fees away you go.

Thanks John, it is a bit difficult my ex oh will be moving back to house with Creditors etc, although it could buy me a bit of time, it just feels like so much to sort, my dad is paying fee for me, I have thought about using someone to help with the petition etc because with me not having a bank account for the past 8 years and using my mums and her account being cash withdrawal only I am not sure how messy it will be.
