Im looking to go bankcrupt in January.

We own a franchise however all the fixtures and fittings are owned by us. When we leave the shop should we empty it all out of the fixtures and fittings or leave everything in?

We no a few of our friends who have gone bankcrupt and the franchisor has went in and took loads of fixtures and fittings and put them in storage?

Hi

you are ok to remove them and they certainly should not be allowed to be claimed by the Franchisor.

However, you must declare them when petitioning for Bankruptcy as the OR will want to consider what is exempt and what is claimable.
